Why I'm Developing the Lyons, Lions High School Alumni Web
Site
I’m nostalgic. I have been very lucky in life. My parents
Harold & Sylvia were the June and Ward Cleaver type parents.
They taught me all the right ways to live life. The thing I really
miss as I grew up and matured are the people I grew up around.
Lyons High School Alumni and those that were only in Lyons for
a short time, like Hank Schmidt, but were important in my life.
Many of you have seen me at your class reunions and it amazes
me what a great group of people passed through the halls of Lyons
High School. As we passed through that door for the last time
and moved into the world of fending for ourselves we have lost
touch with those that helped shape our lives.
I
know all of our alums did not experience the best of days at Lyons
but that is because of the immaturity of youth. I have not met
an alum that I would not want to have as a friend. I hope through
this website we can get back in touch with those we went to LHS
with, renew old friendships and kindle new ones.
With your help
we can learn more about each other and how our lives have gone
with the many paths we have chosen to move down.
Some of our classmates
that I would have liked to have gotten to know better are no longer
with us. I would like for their lives to be honored on this site.
For the rest of us I would like to make this a fun site, to relive
those early years and to see how your lives have gone.
With help
from all of you and your input we can do this. I have a classmate
who lost all her yearbooks and pictures in a flood. Pictures and
stories from you as you grew up would be appreciated. It can be
of high school events, cars, family, boy and girl friends, pictures
of old hang outs, etc.
Have it be a site where we can step back
in time when life’s demands were fairly minimal but still
demanding; where we can reminisce, renew, find out about upcoming
class reunions, enjoy and learn about some marvelous people, the
Lyons High School Alum.
